Manila, Philippines – Praxismed Technologies Inc. marked a significant milestone in its commitment to advancing clinical excellence in the Philippines by hosting an Advanced EMG and Nerve Conduction (NCV) Training Workshop led by internationally renowned electromyography expert Dr. Sanjeev Nandedkar, Ph.D. The two-day workshop brought world-class expertise directly to Filipino clinicians and technologists who utilize Praxismed’s EMG systems across the country.

Held in August 2025 in Ortigas, Manila, the workshop was designed exclusively for hospitals and medical institutions with installed EMG and NCV systems distributed by Praxismed. The program aimed to strengthen clinical proficiency, improve diagnostic accuracy, and ensure that Filipino practitioners maximize the full capabilities of their EMG equipment through proper technique and interpretation.

Dr. Nandedkar is widely regarded as one of the foremost authorities in electromyography and nerve conduction studies. A highly sought-after speaker at major international neurology, clinical neurophysiology, and EMG conventions, he has spent decades teaching clinicians how to translate complex electrophysiologic signals into meaningful clinical diagnoses.

Clinicians, doctors, and technologists applying key workshop learnings during hands-on sessions.

During the workshop, Dr. Nandedkar shared both foundational concepts and advanced clinical applications. Topics included volume conduction principles, needle EMG techniques, motor and sensory nerve conduction studies, late responses such as F-waves and H-reflexes, repetitive nerve stimulation, and single-fiber EMG concepts. The program combined lectures with live demonstrations and case-based discussions, allowing participants to engage directly with one of the field’s most respected educators.

“High-quality EMG practice depends not only on technology, but on a deep understanding of physiology and proper technique,” said Dr. Sanjeev Nandedkar. “I was encouraged by the level of engagement from Filipino clinicians and technologists, and I am pleased to see a strong commitment to raising the standard of neurodiagnostic practice in the Philippines.”

The training also emphasized standardized practices, clinical correlation, and ethical application of EMG and NCV studies. Participants were encouraged to raise questions, review challenging cases, and refine their diagnostic approach under close guidance.

Charmaine Lou German, President and CEO of Praxismed Technologies Inc., delivers the opening remarks.

“This initiative reflects Praxismed’s belief that access to advanced medical equipment must be paired with continuous education and skills development,” said Charmaine Lou German, President and Chief Executive Officer of Praxismed Technologies Inc. “By bringing global experts like Dr. Nandedkar to the Philippines, we help empower Filipino clinicians with the knowledge and confidence needed to deliver accurate diagnoses and better patient outcomes.”

For many attendees, the workshop represented a rare opportunity to receive international-level EMG training without leaving the country. The direct transfer of expertise from a globally recognized authority to local practitioners was widely regarded as a highlight of the program and a meaningful contribution to strengthening neurodiagnostic services nationwide.

The success of the EMG and NCV Training Workshop underscores Praxismed’s broader mission of elevating healthcare standards through technology, education, and long-term partnerships. By facilitating access to global expertise, the company continues to position itself not only as a distributor of advanced neurodiagnostic systems, but also as a trusted partner in clinical education and capacity building in the Philippine healthcare sector.
